Hong Kong public swimming pools are overseen by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), consisting of 44 public pools across Hong Kong. There are 9 on Hong Kong Island, 13 in Kowloon and 22 in the New Territories – these numbers do not include private pools that may have existed prior to environmental concerns and labor shortages closing them down.
